"Hello, my friends!"
At "You Can't See My MG," we understand the challenges faced by medical moms & caregivers who care for children diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis (MG). Our up and coming nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing support through the Kids MG Support Group Meetings designed to provide the kids living with MG access to their community. Allowing our kids to make connections with each other to help support their journey, and show them they are not alone. We highlight resources offered through Myasthenia Gravis Foundation Of America (MGFA) and a helping hand to navigate the complex journey of MG diagnosis and treatment in a child.

What is Myasthenia Gravis?
This rare neuromuscular, autoimmune disorder causes extreme fatigue and profound muscle weakness. The body's antibodies block impulses from the brain to the muscles, leading to difficulty in performing everyday activities such as walking, swallowing, and even breathing.
Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease, which means it arises from an abnormal immune response. The immune system mistakenly targets and attacks specific receptors on the muscles responsible for voluntary movement. The underlying mechanisms that trigger autoimmune diseases are complex and not fully understood. While autoimmune disorders are collectively common, each individual autoimmune condition tends to be rare.

"YCSMMG was a total rockstar, sharing their own MG journey with empathy and kindness. It meant the world to connect with someone who truly understood what I was going through. Plus, my daughter loved chatting with another kiddo her age who was already on treatment. It was a comforting experience for us both!" - Brittany, proud MG parent.
Providing the Caregiver Medical Planners to newly diagnosed parent caregivers provide direction on what and how to track & communicate so many important details about their child's health to their care team of specialist. This can bring order to a new crazy world for the parent of a child with newly diagnosed MG.
